Darren Boswell has spent his entire career executing healthcare and real estate transactions, as a principal investor and a transactional attorney. Prior to forming LQC Partners, Mr. Boswell directed debt and equity investing for CareVentures and Post Acute Partners, investment firms focused exclusively on healthcare and seniors housing. At Post Acute Partners, he executed $250 million in healthcare and seniors housing investments in the first 18 months of the firm’s existence. His primary responsibilities were sourcing, originating, underwriting, and executing the firm’s debt and equity transactions. He also oversaw marketing, branding, and public relations for Post Acute Partners. Prior to joining Post Acute Partners, Mr. Boswell spent four years building the structured lending program at CareVentures Finance Group, which focused primarily on investments in distressed healthcare facilities and seniors housing. At CareVentures, Mr. Boswell concentrated on business development, loan originations, secondary market transactions, and workouts. The CareVentures Finance Group investment portfolio, comprised of loan originations and secondary market debt purchases, generated returns far in excess of market comparables during the very difficult climate of 2007-2009.
Prior to joining CareVentures, he practiced law in the private equity and healthcare transactional groups in the New York City office of Ropes & Gray LLP.
Earlier in his career, Darren served as an associate and project manager for Jensen Group, an international real estate and private equity fund sponsor focused on the acquisition and development of real estate in St. Petersburg, Russia. Mr. Boswell holds an AB in History from Princeton University and a JD from the University of Texas School of Law
